On 22nd Monday November 2010
- We emailed everyone we knew
- Those who knew how, put SYSCA on Facebook
- One person even "Tweeted"
- We put up banners around the town, supplied by Waddons
- We handed out flyers on Carnival night, supplied by Kampress
- We put up posters in shops
- We got the local schools and colleges on board
- We had great support from Mike King at the "Give It a Go" project at Sedgemoor Learning Alliance
- We asked local politicians to support our project
- The RYA ran a feature article about our project on their web site
- Local newspapers printed articles about "Enable All to Sail"
- Radio Somerset Sound gave us a shout out on the day of the contest, thanks Emma
- We visited 6 primary schools with a dinghy in full sail
- We put the dinghy outside Angel Place, who were great supporter
- We distributed the voting number on 1000 flyers
- We rang or texted the people who came to our free Open Day in May
- "Then we went home"
On Tuesday 23rd November 2010
SYCSA heard on live TV, that we had won the public vote and the Peoples Millions contest for the ITV West region.
