After the successfull completion of our previous project "Fleet 2000 and beyond", SYCSA sailed into it's third project after 2007.
The two previous projects created demand for excellence and a wider sailing experiences from our sailors. Inevitably we had to launch our third project in 2008:
"Beyond Fleet 2000"
To meet new demand for training and racing opportunities
We needed to improve our facilities by adding:

- 12 new Toppers (5 bought in 2008)
3 new Oppi's (Achieved in 2008)
3 new Optimists (Achieved in 2008)
6 new Pico's (Achieved in 2011)
1 new Comet Trio (Achieved in 2011)
3 new Wayfarer dinghies ( 2 bought in 2011)- 2 new performance boats e.g. Laser 3000, 4202 RS Visions (Buzz & 2 RS Vision's bought by 2010)
A wider range of dinghies by adding e.g. a Magno, (Bahia bought in 2011)
6 new 4.7 Lasers
1 new road trailer to accommodate 3 dinghies
Class sails for all dinghies (Partially achieved in 2008, 2010 and 2011)
A wider range of life jackets (Achieved in 2008 and 2011)
Additional spray suits (Achieved in 2008)
A range of wetsuits (Achieved in 2011)We needed to expand our volunteer base by:
- Converting up to 15 Assistant Instructors into Dinghy Instructors by 2013 ( 14 since 2008)
- Training up to 5 new Powerboat Instructors by 2013 (2 since2008)
- Training up to 5 Advanced Dinghy Instructors by 2013 (1 since2008)
- Training up to 5 new Senior Instructors by 2013 (3since2008)
- Converting up to 5 volunteers into Race Coaches/Instructors by 2013 ( 3 since2008)
