is for real beginners who want to sit in a dinghy with a trained instructor
and experience sailing first hand.

sailor will receive a RYA "Taste of Sailing" certificate.
- Advanced
booking is essential.
- SYCSA
operates a "Child Protection Policy"
and it's volunteers are CRB checked.

Club
For
beginners and improvers:
Saturday
Morning Sailing Club: from
24th April to 23rd October, (Not
31st July or 7th, 14th or 21st August)
09.00 to 13.00,
£12 per
session.

The
club meets every Saturday (except in school holidays), all ages from 6 to
18 years are welcome. We do accept youngsters below 6 at our discretion
-
A
parent must stay at the session if the youngster is 8 or less .

Each
Saturday, we have up to 35 youngsters on the water,
-
Although
we usually get everyone afloat for the whole session, on the odd occasion
when a large number of youngsters appears, we do have to limit the on-water
time by using on-shore activities.

Be
early to avoid this disappointment.

Drinks
and snacks are available.

Youngsters
follow the RYA Young Sailors scheme through Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4.
- After
reaching Stage 4, youngsters progress to the National Sailing Scheme

Wetsuits
are needed in the early and late seasons.
